About

Carpentry and woodworking have been a part of my life from the beginning. I grew up in Missouri helping with my grandparents’ real estate business, mostly fixing up older houses and making repairs in between rentals. While in college in Virginia, I was able to cut my teeth on new construction, working for a residential builder. We did everything from site selection to turn-key, but it was the finish carpentry that I enjoyed the most, for the precision involved, and how it would push a house over the top.
After college and about seven years active duty in the Navy, I returned to Missouri to earn my certification in woodworking from the American Woodworking Academy near St. Louis and pursue custom woodworking, furniture, and casework.
